The Purple Hull

We stopped at the Purple Hull for a quick lunch on our way home from Augusta. Nice homestyle cooking and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed their meatloaf along with mashed potatoes & gravy. My beautiful wife also had the meatloaf with cabbage and okra & tomatoes. She liked the sides but didn't like the meatloaf as much as I did.

Good burger. Very friendly staff and I assume owner. Worth stopping in. Went back today and had fried pork chops, okra and jalapeño mac n cheese. Pork chops were deliciously tender and the Jalapeño mac n cheese was so good.

This place is a GEM! I love the mom-and-pop feel. Locally run by family members. Warm and friendly service and more importantly the food is delicious. Deserts are so yummy! Not too sweet very creamy. Will definitely be back.

It was fine. My wife ordered a ribeye at market price . It was thin not the thickness of a normal steak at 24.00 . I told her this is not a streak house honey. Overall I had beef tip over rice gravy 4 different veggies. I was fine

The Purple Bull is in an unassuming building that is easy to drive past and miss. Don't miss it! The food here is delicious! Some of the best southern food I have had in a long time. The sweet potato souffle was perfect, not too sweet, not to spiced but just right. And the pan fried pork chops were amazing! Very well spiced and not dry at all. The okra.was perfectly cooked, the jalapeño corn bread was great! My son had the cat fish and it was some of the best I have had in Augusta. Over all an amazing restaurant!!
