SEPHORA at Kohl's

The customer service is horrible. I was standing at the counter waiting for two employees to turn around and greet me, but instead one girl walked away still didn’t acknowledge me nor did she let the coworker know that I was there. Eventually she turned around and finally came to scan my items for purchase, but she was also in a conversation with another customer next to me. The customer service from the girl who has two braids and a part down the middle who’s a black women.When I walked away after I paid for the items she proceeded to laugh and talk about me with the customer that was standing next to me who was a white women. She was definitely treated better than me because of the the color of my skin. It was so very obvious. I’m not writing this because I don’t like the store. I’m writing this because of the experience I received from another black women who looks down on other black women. This happened today around three pm. Look at the cameras and see if you can determine if what happened is plausible.

Zaina was so awesome while helping me and my mom out today. She helped us find the perfect products for our skin tone and had great recommendations. She was patient and kind, 1000/10 experience and we really appreciated her :) our new fav Sephora location! Hailey was also so sweet at the checkout and gave us some fun samples to try out!

2 times I told the associates I was just looking around, because that’s how I relax after a day of work, and I love reading reviews and ingredients descriptions before I purchase something for my sensitive skin, and 2 times they came towards me for help, or were standing around. That’s very irritating for someone who wants to shop in peace. If we need help, we ask. If you’re really bored, you can remove the amount of dust that I saw flying each time I picked up products.

My time in Sephora was spent browsing and discussing products with Lenora. She has an amazing personality & knowledgeable. I came in for skin care products for Black women with hyperpigmentation and she led me to 2 products that have worked wonders on my skin. While walking around the store, I told her what make up products I use and she guided me to some amazing new products and I left with more than what I came in for. 😂 Upsell OK! It was worth every dime. Thanks Lenora💛

I usually shop at Ulta but lately the employees there have not been helpful. Yesterday was my first time shopping at this new Sephora location. A girl named Siri, listened to all my skin concerns and recommended new products I would have never known about if it wasn’t for her. Will definitely be shopping here more frequently.
