A number of years ago, a local trash pickup business, through a collection of unforeseen circumstances, found themselves unable to continue service and Ryland stepped in to save the day. Prices went up considerably, but the quality of service stayed fairly consistent and I honestly didn't have any issues with the service Ryland provided. Fast forward to this year and I could sum up Ryland's services with one word: undependable. There have been so many missed pickups. My cans stay at the road, so it's not a matter of not bringing them out on time. I call and the office, while friendly enough, gives me the same line of "I'll let the guys know so they can get that picked up for you. " But then it's not picked up and it's time for the next week's scheduled service and, wouldn't you know it, my cans still haven't been emptied! So I call again and maybe get an apology or an offer to refund some of my money for the missed service. A refund would be great... but it doesn't change the fact that I have a family of seven, two full trash cans at the road, multiple bags hanging from ceiling hooks on my front porch so animals can't get into them, overflowing bathroom trash cans, and multiple bags sitting in my kitchen! I don't need my money back as much as I need a solution. I also work in a service industry and understand that problems arise unexpectedly that may cause an interruption of service. But make it right by doing what you said you were going to do. Don't tell me you'll be by to pick up my trash if you have no intention of doing so. Don't promise me service that you can't provide. And, unless you can remedy this issue quickly, don't expect me to recommend your services to anyone.

They sent out a letter saying our day was changed to Monday. Cool. No biggie. Had it out on Monday. No pickup. Waited a week because of snow. No pick up. Come get my trash. Finally couple days later, we got a pick up. Here we are a full week past that with no pick up again. Come get my trash. So I have had my trash picked up once in 3 weeks (counting the week missed due to changed pickup day.) please come get my trash. I called yesterday and talked to the lady, she said she would credit my account two pickups and have someone out tomorrow (today). Come get my trash. I am more than gracious, being in the service industry, when it comes to missed service etc. but LITERALLY CAN SOMEONE PICK UP MY TRASH. I HAVE DIAPERS PILING UP QUICKER THAN I CARE TO SMELL. THERE ARE BAGS OF TRASH THAT SMELL SO BAD, THE NEIGHBORHOOD RACCOON REFUSES TO GO NEAR IT. I HAVEN’T HAD THIS MUCH TRASH INFRONT OF MY HOUSE SINCE I WAS VISITED BY THE HARRIS CAMPAIGN. I digress. Come get my trash. Credit me another week. You have one more trash pickup to miss (without prior warning) before I cancel all together. Come get my trash. In conclusion, please, for the love of all that is trashy, COME. GET. MY. TRASH. 5/13/25 After more missed pickups, I cancelled. Trash can is still at my house. Do I sell it or do you guys want to come get it? Furthermore. The new can that was brought a few months ago would have gagged a maggot. Didn’t appreciate that. I’m going to put a sign on the can today letting the entire neighborhood know how trash Ryland is (not the people. The business) (also no pun intended). So the longer it stays, the more eyes see the sign. I mean this with all due respect. Update 5/30/2025: the can is still here. I posted it on marketplace for sale. 6/9/2025 Trash can is still here. Trash in the has bio degraded to straight carbon.

I watched one of your truck drivers nearly run a car off the road. Unfortunately I didn’t get the truck number, but you need to retrain your drivers. Do better.

I missed trash day by accident. I reached out after hours and recieved the kindest customer service ever. Someone was able to come back and get the trash. I was so worried cause there is a holiday week upcoming. I am so grateful, my personal experiences with Ryland have been positive every single time. I cannot thank this business enough for their great customer service and taking the time to help me when I was totally at fault for forgetting. Thanks so much again! You all are amazing! So glad you guys are here!

This company is not loyal to their customers. We have been impacted by hurricanes Helene. I understand there would be some problems with picking up our trash. But when it rolls over to the next week and no one shows up to get my trash that’s a problem. I been calling and calling and I get told the same lies stating somebody is coming and she had the nerve to see if I have paid talking about you good they have you on the pickup for that day and never showed up, I end up emailing them again email came back somebody gonna get the trash. I talked to Mr John again somebody coming. Rolling into this week , I guess I’m have to wait until my day. Again my trash is still at my curb. I am so furious at this point I had to pay to drop my trash off at the landfill, Thank you Ryland Environmental!!!!
