Plaza Place

This complex is INSANE! We have over 20 videos of the upstairs neighbors about to fall thru the ceiling into our apartment from being unreasonably loud and obnoxious. We moved into this unit under a medical exemption for our child, and NO ONE, including our special needs child, has gotten a nights sleep since being put into this horrible unit! We have videos of the insane noise at 12:30-1am and even later than that. The office would prefer we call the police 3 separate times before they do anything to give tenants that pay rent, any relief! we should call them, but just do not feel comfortable calling the cops for this because we don’t want things to escalate in that area. Our complex management could resolve this without involving law enforcement. We do not complain about the 4 UNDERAGE KIDS SMOKING WEED right out our front door, where we have to walk our kid to the car thru the weed smoke. We don’t complain about them same underage kids smoking weed in the apartment they live in and it coming into my child’s room thru the vents! We don’t complain about this “remodeled unit” that has been leaking water from the outside facing door and the countertop caulk JUST INSTALLED IN OCTOBER is already turning black from being done improperly and mold! We just try and fix these issues ourselves cause there is not a single real maintenance person that works here since moving in and we have HORRIBLE roaches! I’ve asked about pest control A WEEK AGO, she told me it would be that Tuesday and NOTHING! We’ve been In This unit since October, requested a lease several times and still do not have a lease for our new unit! My daughter goes thru state and federal folks for SSI and Medicaid. And we can’t update any of her info because this complex can’t get anything right! We are at our wits end with the complete disaster that this complex is and we do not recommend ANYONE live here unless you have zero other options. If we could move, we would have left in October!

Plaza place is the worst apartments I have stayed in water is always getting turned off the pool is not open but we paying for it no pest control but it’s coming out of the rent black mold in the bathroom and dishwasher a/c unit doesn’t work well flying fruit flys to noisy it’s like the dam hood hell it might as well be section 8 trash everywhere I would not recommend anyone move here move at your own risk they get a zero no office staff everyone quit this is the worst place to live people are moving out weekly..

When we first moved in 2 years ago this was a great place to live and great value. Unfortunately the former management company (that was responsive to needs for repairs) sold the property to another company during the pandemic. My air conditioner has been malfunctioning for over a month and we have had to repeatedly email and beg the management company to fix it. The air conditioner only cools the apartment to 87 during the day. I am disabled and extremely sensitive to heat and am limited to our bedroom (with the window unit we bought). When we reported the issue we were promised a window unit from the management company. After a week we followed up and they claimed they ordered one. We still do not have one (we have 3 bedrooms we need to be able to use). The popcorn ceiling is peeling off in several rooms and we have what appears to be black mold in our closet. We have reported these issues over and over again with no repairs made. TLDR: I should not have to harass you to repair YOUR property. Leaving people without ac in this area during the summer is cruel and dangerous. They want to act like this is a $600 a month apartment while charging $1000. This place is not worth the price. Go somewhere cheaper and at least take comfort in your saved money. ETA: DHEC closed the pool today!

Unbelievable. New office manager and nobody knows a damn thing. This place is infested with roaches and bugs. Nothing.... water is always being cut off.... not even access to pay the rent online! If there is, it's a secret. Walls are PAPER thin and for someone with anxiety, this is a nightmare.

The complex was decent when I first moved in 2021 but as management changed so did the anesthetics and operations of the complex. Trash allowed to pile up around dumpsters and at the entrances of the complex. Manager had/has a terrible attitude and was hardly ever in the office. I had to make several phone calls to city officials and code officials to get trash piles picked up. Who even knows who owns the place as it has been sold twice, but it quickly became one of the worst places in the area. I moved out ASAP!!!
