Place At Martinez

I went in to see about having a loved one go there that smell is absolutely overwhelming. They make you drive around the back because I don’t want to go in the front door extremely unprofessional everybody that I met and talk to when you walk into a nursing home and you see that their baseboards never been washed. It really makes you wonder How bad they actually are.

Warning About “The Place at Martinez” I want to share our family’s experience with the Place at Martinez so others can be informed before deciding on care for their loved ones. My grandmother has been at this facility for the past couple of weeks after a medical episode, and it has been nothing short of heartbreaking. • On multiple occasions, they’ve forgotten to give her meals—if we hadn’t been there to intervene, they wouldn’t have realized. • The call button system seems useless; it takes forever for nurses to respond. This is unacceptable, especially for residents who need urgent assistance. • Last night, they attempted to give my grandmother a large amount of pills to swallow. She has difficulty swallowing pills, and instead of offering support or alternatives, the nurse rudely told her, “If you can munch on cookies, you can swallow these pills.” Completely unprofessional and unkind! While not all staff are rude, the majority we’ve encountered have shown a lack of compassion and attentiveness. This is not the safe, caring environment anyone would want for their loved ones. I feel compelled to warn others in the Augusta area: think twice before sending your loved one to this facility. We are actively working to bring my grandmother home, but until then, we’re stuck monitoring her care to ensure she’s safe. Please share to help others avoid this nightmare. Families deserve better for their loved ones!

My dad is at this place. On the outside it looks nice, making you think it would be as such inside....WRONG!!! It's old, dated and staff that I have seen, with the exception of one, is rude and inattentive. The VA should do better about sending their veterans to something like this for rehab. People be careful if you ever have to send your loved ones to a facility for care.

My wife's brother was placed here. When a friend went in to see him, he was laying in his bed without clothes. Two days later when she returned, he was still naked. The nurses would rather socialize in the office and talk on their phones than wash his clothes and care for the residents. We are so grateful that he is no longer living here.

I would have rated the facility a zero (0)if they had one! This place is horrible, The CNA’s are over work unstaffed, they are rude and very unprofessional. The nurses are very passive, they do the bare minimum. I gained 20 pounds in one week (water weight) and they were not alarmed. I had to request for them to call for an ambulance myself, Please do not sent your love one there!! Please l
