I had online issues for several years. I was excited to see a physical branch location in an area where we could talk and have issues solved by a bank staff face-to-face, in person. We are grateful that Autumn in the Augusta, GA branch solved our issues. I was amazed how fast and courteous that staff was in seeking and addressing customer banking needs when compared to other banks.

First, they don't care about their customers. I had communicated I was experiencing hardship and was making partial payments. I am less than 30 days from graduating nursing school. They repo my car anyways and I pay thousands to get it back and they hire a 1 star non BBB accredited company (One Connect Morrow, GA) to tow my vehicle and they will not give it back. They are holding my property after I paid!!!!

700+ credit score, retired US State Department official, and 6 days wasted getting a small loan on a 2017 Mercedez C250 I wisely ended up paying cash. If only PenFed had an Elon Musk those monkeys might have gotten my business. Luckily their lack of professionalism and zero care for the customer shined right through . . .

!!!!Completely ruined my credit and my partner's credit!!!!! We had a car loan with them on a 4Runner. When we got a new car and traded the 4Runner in, they didn't pay off the loan correctly! Very simple task for a lender to do. No! They created a duplicate loan and used the money from the dealership to pay one of them off. Of course, that loan went unpaid for months without us knowing. After a "late payment" alert through my credit bureau, I realized the huge mistake they had made. It's now been over 7 months with no solution. All I hear from them is a different answer on how to fix it that never works or that it's OUR fault!!! All from a different person each time. Cannot get a hold of the same person twice for some reason. Completely uncoordinated, unprofessional and downright sorry! DO NOT CHOOSE THEM!!!!!

WARNING ABOUT PENFED CREDIT UNION ⚠️ I've experienced a nightmare scenario with PenFed Credit Union that has caused serious financial harm and stress. My PenFed credit card was blocked when I attempted to make a legitimate $7,000 payment to a vendor. What followed was a cascade of misinformation and failures: 1. I called PenFed THREE SEPARATE TIMES on 2/17 (documented with names, times and call durations). Each time, different representatives (Janet, Michelle, and Cynthia) assured me they had removed the block or confirmed it was gone. 2. After each assurance, I attempted the transaction again, only to have it fail repeatedly. On my third call, I was finally told there were "different types of holds" on my card - information never previously disclosed despite my direct questions. 3. Based on their false assurances that the block was removed, I tried using PayPal linked to the card. When the card predictably failed again, PayPal withdrew $7,000 directly from my bank account instead, causing significant overdrafts. 4. As of 3/8, nearly THREE WEEKS LATER, the card was STILL blocked despite multiple promises it had been fixed. 5. The consequences: My bank account is severely overdrawn, I'm facing multiple overdraft fees, and my mortgage payment is at risk of bouncing, potentially damaging my credit - all because PenFed representatives repeatedly gave me false information. I have detailed notes and recordings of all calls proving their misrepresentations. If you value financial stability and honest communication, I strongly advise considering other financial institutions. PenFed's failure to properly handle a simple card block has created weeks of financial chaos that could have been entirely avoided.
