I had the best time. As, I am from Upstate NY. This was my first time here at James shop. He was extremely helpful, courteous, professional, but most of all he accomplished what I was looking for with outstanding results. His shop was amazing. Extremely clean, organized, clutter free but most of all I felt comfortable. Everyone working in the shop was on point! Loved the Vibe and plan on more work getting done.

I can’t say enough great things about my experience at this shop! Maryann and James are absolute artists. They freehanded my arm sleeve (still in the process) and the results so far blew me away. The detail and precision in their line work is unreal—so delicate, clean, and beautifully done. They both made the entire process feel collaborative and personal. You can tell they genuinely care about their craft and their clients. The shop itself is clean, comfortable, and has a great vibe. If you’re looking for top-tier artists who take pride in their work and deliver stunning results, I highly recommend Maryann and James. I’m beyond happy with my sleeve and will definitely be coming back for

I had an amazing experience getting a fine line tattoo from Mary Ann! From start to finish, everything was smooth and professional. Her attention to detail and steady hand really showed in the final piece—absolutely stunning work. Mary Ann made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process, and her studio was clean, calm, and welcoming. The professionalism and care she puts into her craft are clear from the moment you sit in her chair. If you're looking for clean, beautiful fine line work, I highly recommend Mary Ann. I couldn’t be happier with the result!

Mary Ann did my first and largest side piece over the past two days and it went so perfect! She was amazing, she calmed my nerves, explained every step throughout the process, and did as much as she could to ease the pain of a rib/hip/back tattoo! I 1000% recommend. Can’t wait until she can come back to tattoo again! The shop was clean and everyone was helpful in the process.

I'm unsure why my review was removed, but I believe it's important to share this experience for the benefit of future clients. This is about events that occurred in 2014, so hopefully things have changed since then. I no longer fear retaliation from this business and the owner should still understand the reason behind the low rating. The original review was about the following: If you're considering this shop, I strongly recommend asking whether your artist is an apprentice. Many clients are unaware that some shops do not disclose this information voluntarily. While this issue isn't unique to this location, there appears to be a concerning practice where apprentices are discouraged from revealing their training status. Unfortunately, when mistakes occur—even when the apprentice has asked for assistance—the blame is often placed solely on them. The environment is not supportive, and rather than fostering growth, it undermines confidence and development. Even when people try to stand up for themselves after leaving here - they might have years of therapy ahead of them because the “master” doesn’t know how to teach. This not only affects the apprentices but may also impact the quality of service clients receive - and you are already aware that most body art is permanent. The reason this review is not one star, is I truly hope that James has grown from his mistakes and has become a better person. Disrespectful language and a hostile atmosphere can reflect deeper issues within a workplace. Clients deserve transparency, and artists—especially those in training—deserve mentorship and respect - regardless of the “tough” attitudes portrayed on tv in the tattoo industry.
