I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I believe it’s important to share my experience with Kayla at Naked Truth Aesthetics to help others make informed decisions. Before a recent trip, I decided to get my eyelashes done and booked with Kayla. I requested classic lashes, but was told that they couldn’t be applied to my natural lashes. Trusting her professional judgment, I agreed to the alternative she recommended. However, I later learned from a very capable aesthetician that classic lashes could have been applied to me with no issue. That was the first red flag. During the application, the glue used caused a burning sensation in my eyes, which I didn’t expect. What I truly wasn’t prepared for was the damage that followed (I have pictures for anyone who doubts the extent). Within minutes of leaving the appointment, one lash already fell out. I brushed it off—until two more fell that evening, despite me being extra cautious while cleansing my face. By the next morning, more lashes were falling out and the gaps were very noticeable. Since I was flying out that same day, I reached out to Kayla in hopes that she could quickly fix them. Unfortunately, she said she was fully booked with personal appointments and refused to refund me, arguing that she’d lose money for the time she spent applying them. But what about my $100? What about my loss—not just financially, but the stress and damage caused just before a trip I was looking forward to? In the end, I had to pay another professional to remove the faulty lashes. That salon, by the way, shared that they’ve had multiple clients come in with similar complaints about lashes done by Kayla—needing repairs or removals. That sealed it for me. I hesitated to write this, because I know people rely on their businesses to support themselves. But I wish I had seen a review like this before booking. Kayla is the best lash girl I know! She has been doing my lashes for several months now and I couldn’t recommend her more. She gives me the prettiest dramatic volume lashes, that I get compliments on constantly. She is very talented at what she does and has the sweetest personality. She will make sure you leave feeling beautiful.
