KJ's Market

I visited the store on 1/30 around 6pm. I wanted to purchase two money orders. One was for $850 and the other for $55. Older woman at customer service desk advised that the only way to purchase a money order was to pay in cash which is absurd. I’ve been to this exact location at least once before to get a money order and was able to use card payment. It was very clear. I know exactly what she was. I took my business to Food Lion (9 minutes away) who allowed me to purchase a simple money order with a debit card. Won’t be back. Will never recommend. Will actively give my negative opinion especially for that specific store. 1/10 stars is too generous.

This was my first visit at a KJ's Market - I entered at 15 minutes until closing and only wanted IceCresm and Pepsi's. And what aggravates me more than anything is for staff, to "Continue" to say we are closing in 15 Minutes, We are closing in 12 Minutes, We are closing in 10 Minutes, etc. * They want you to get out of the store! I would forbid my staff to "push customers " out the door, when I managed Food Service Establishments - I find this very rude, I think they need to be nice, and kind and perhaps make an announcement offering to help any customer that needs something, or help customers get what they came for. The stores are "actually " losing sales by pushing customers out the door, they loose focus and forget items. I would bet I could show a same store sales increase. By turning this closing thing around and offering to help customers!

KJ's market is about like food Lion. Their prices are a little higher than Walmart but they do have a lunch in the deli that they cook homemade stuff for lunch and it's really good.

They have some really good sales on beef sometimes. I really never shopped here a lot but I went yesterday.

I visited today 2/20/2025. Purchased BarS hotdogs. Went to prepare them, looked at the exp. date and it was jan 2025. Needless to say I didn't eat them. Please do better. Makes me leary of shopping there again.
