It's rare that I have a reason to be at a mall. Being the introvert I am, I tend to avoid places where I might encounter loud herds, angry drivers, or forced interactions. I was pleasantly surprised when I chose to start my hunt for an outfit here, rather than risk the delay that might come with ordering via online. Penney's was a favorite of my Mom's, so I began here. The store was clean and orderly. Things were in place. They had some sales which caught my attention and caused me to side-quest, inform others, and share the bargain details. The staff were friendly and they didn't pursue me, aggressively to assist me, which pleased me very much. They were polite and I felt like if I needed help, it was easy to find. I was reminded how most big anchor stores feel sterile- and almost like a rat maze- as each section bleed into the other with little deviation. The lighting, I both appreciated and hated, as it was harsh and too bright for my liking but when dealing with color detail, it helped identify the differences in shades or patterns a breeze. I didn't find what I was looking for but because they had the sale they did, I sent DH and son in a couple of days later to pick up a couple of things. My daughter went with me. We didn't go in the weekend, but midweek- and we went in the late afternoon- early evening. There were people there but no herds. It was quiet but active. We didn't use the water closet in the store and we didn't really browse beyond the first side quest. I'll have to try to make it out here more often.

Finally got through to customer service desk after trying 10 calls yesterday and 3 today and talked to the most rudest lady! If you don't want to answer customers questions about their order and act like you hate when they ask more than one question because you're trying to understand their process, then you don't need to be in that line of work. I have worked in customer service retail before for many years and was never rude when explaining something to a customer!

Ordered 3 watches online and 1 needed a battery. Went to store here in Augusta; GA and lady at jewelry counter said the lady who replaces watch batteries was not working that day and she was unable to do it. She offered to let me pick a replacement. Every one I picked, also needed a battery. I said I would come back another time to have battery replaced. Another watch stopped running 2 days later. I work nights so it's difficult to get back to the store. I called today, and the person identified herself as "Kayla" said the store stopped replacing batteries back in September. Customer service said Penny's does replace batteries and I can get a refund from the store or have the store send watches back. The store insinuated I personally have to mail them back....need help.

I used to shop a good bit at this store but don't anymore. There are so many reasons why stores don't make it in the business industry. I went to look at earrings and then headed upstairs to look at ladies pajamas and stopped by the undergarments section and noticed a man ( rather unkept and possibly homeless) walking around the store and finally stopped and stared at me directly as I looked away and kept walking I seen him following closer behind me so I kept walking and walked right on out the door by the return counter. I did pass 2 employees on my way before I got to the returns section so perhaps that stopped his mischief. There's safety in numbers at the mall anymore. No longer feel safe there and walked out not buying anything because of it.

I want to give a huge shoutout and thank you to the lovely salon lady, whose name I think is Linda. She came out of the salon today as I was struggling to figure out how to get all my purchases to my car with my little ones in tow. She kindly offered to bring my purchases to my car for me and it was so appreciated!! Thank you thank you!!
