H&R Block

I've been using H&R Block for about 4 years now and I normally do them myself online. This year I went in person because I had questions about my previous return from the year of 2022 and the amount, MS. TAVA BANKS was able to provide me additional feedback of my concerns and she explained everything very throughly, I actually found out I carry myself on my taxes haha so I receive tax pay throughout the year instead of the end of the year. she is extremely sweet and as long as you are not giving disrespect she will work with you, I am new to the state of Georgia and this was the first tax office I stepped into close to home. MS. TAVA BANKS was also honest if she mistakenly made a mistake on my return and immediately fixed any errors and she is very knowledgeable and knows how to do her job even if you think filing taxes may be difficult. MS. TAVA BANKS goes above and beyond; before I forget to mention I rode my bike to my 5PM appointment and the office was empty near closing time which was great! she allowed me to bring my bike inside so no one will bother it. Bless her heart and I surely look forward to doing business with her again!

High rates. I scheduled an appointment for a certain time and showed up 10 minutes before my scheduled time. Than ended up getting seen 40 minutes after my scheduled time

Meh. Just not worth it. I was running 6 minutes late to my appointment. I tried calling multiple times but no one would answer. I got there and the man was smoking a cigarette outside the front door and he told me the woman would be handling my return, and that she was with another client. I waited over 30 minutes to be seen. At no point did he have a client. Not quite sure why I made an appointment days in advance if they couldn't accommodate it. If you have a tight schedule, then maybe go elsewhere. I get that it's tax season and it's busy, but answering phones and acknowledging appointments would be a fantastic thing.

Not a good experience had a 12:00 appointment arrive early left waiting until 1230 and the first thing she says is you will have to leave your stuff with me I don’t have time to do it now . So you make an appointment and they don’t have time for you . I just left and made an appointment one hour later with roads Murphy hoping they have better customer service .

I filed my taxes on 2-13-23. And used the refund anticipated loan services. My federal return is appropriately $3400. And that day received $250 only. On 2-15-23 I called the local hr block office I used in Evans Georgia to find out when the remaining money is going to arrive. I was told that the bank made a decision to only give me $250 as a refund loan. And the rest will be direct deposited into my personal account. The refund anticipated loan services are a rip off. So Don't waste your time getting one. 2-16-23 Review update I called the 1-800 number in Hr blocks response. I was told that it was not HR blocks responsible for my refund anticipated loan being $250 even though my federal return is over $3400. And was told it's the bank contracted by hr block thats at fault. I paid a lot for HrBlock tax services and to use the anticipated loan.a loan of $250 is the equivalent of spitting in my face financially. I truthful wasted my time and money using hr block. I've used this company a number of times and the anticipated loan service. AND NEVER HAD A ISSUE GETTING MY FULL RETURN AMOUNT quickly within a week roughly. Hr block is a rip off and passes the buck so that they as a company can say it's not my responsibility. If I could give a star less than zero. I'd do it instantly. If you value your sanity and peace of mind and money AVOID HR BLOCK.
