Homewood Suites by Hilton Augusta

Love love love. The way the staff make you feel very welcomed. Jasmine was the best. She was very attentive to my nerds. Love her service and her personality. Staff always made sure that I had clean sheets and towels daily. The breakfast was really good and fresh every morning. I will return with my family and would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler coming to Augusta.

Do not be deceived by this place. It's definitely not worth the $150-$200/night being charged for this very outdated hotel. The photos online are not accurate and appear much nicer than the real thing. We arrived earlier than expected and did ask to check in early which they weren't able to accommodate which is understandable. They asked us to come back at 3pm for checkin which we did, only to be told our room still was not ready. We ended up having to sit in the lobby for 45 minutes. The staff was not apologetic or courteous. Instead we were made to feel like WE were bothering THEM when asking for an update after being awake for 35 hours and traveling all day. The rest of the stay was mostly unremarkable. I called and spoke to customer service multiple times about getting a late check out on our last day since our flight was not until late in the evening and us not really having anywhere to go. 3 different customer service employees expressed that a late check out would not be an issue since I had signed up for the Hilton Honors membership but stated that I did still need to call the day of to inform the front desk. This was not the case. We were not granted a late check out. We were charged $75 for late checkout. They tried adding $25 more and at one point were threatening to charge another days stay. I was able to have them remove the extra $25 when I reminded them of our late checkin. It felt like they were looking for an excuse to charge an extra fee for anything. Eventually we checked out and left. About an hour later I get a $50 charge. I called to find out why. The girls I spoke with could tell me it was because of the towels being "stained." There was nothing on the towels that would not come out in the wash. I was told to call back tomorrow morning to talk to the appropriate person. It was just a difficult stay from start to finish and wasn't worth the stress.

Probably needs a little bit of the remodel/upkeep, my hotel room carpet was super dirty (the bottom of my white socks were brownish). The TV wasn't a smart TV where you can connect your Netflix unfortunately. However, all of the staff were friendly, Wednesday evening they had complimentary drinks and food, the best part about the room was there was a fan in the room!

When I tell you the woman T at the front desk saved our family, she saved us from driving in a terrible storm. We are traveling from Maryland to Florida and stop to stay the night. If she wasn't so friendly when I stopped to grab coffee. We would have headed out not thinking twice. She informed us that there was a storm deliberately over the way to our destination for the next 4 hours. We decided to stay one more night. And all of the staff was more than accommodating for my family and myself. So thankful for T and everyone that made the stay feel like home. From the food to the cleanliness, not to mention the hospitality. So blessed to have stayed here when we did.

This place is great the workers are so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed everything about this place. The only bad thing is that they have a person in the dining room every morning who thinks they own the TV and throws fits if they can't control the TV. So no weather, no news, only infomercials. This person has been here for over a month, so I think they are permanent.
