Hertz Car Rental - Augusta Regional Airport

I just left Hertz with a rental and an absolutely delightful, breath of fresh air experience with the gentleman at the front desk! I don't even know his name, but this gentleman is wonderful! We had made a reservation at Enterprise (different location) multiple days ago and were called today to let us know our reservation couldn't be granted because of "low returns" in all car classes. They advised us to call the Enterprise at the Augusta airport, however we could not get through to a rep at the counter at all. We ended up booking online and I ended up calling the general customer service line, spoke to 2 different women who both confirmed our reservation was valid and that they have inventory. The airport location was a bit of a drive, so I wanted make sure we wouldn't walk into any problems. We were assured everything looked good. As we walked up to the Enterprise counter, the first question was "did you just book it?" I explained the story and apparently they could not release us a vehicle until 8am tomorrow. Something about a 24 hour rule. Why it doesn't say this in their communication is beyond me, but a huge thank you to Hertz for getting us into a brand new vehicle with a great rate at that! They really came in clutch for us today and I'll 100% be booking with them again! THIS is how you run a business!!!!

My fiancé and I flew to SC for a funeral. Our flight home got canceled from a storm with no other flights available. We were desperate and decided to drive. George showed us so much kindness when helping us find a car and made sure we were taken care of. He seriously was our saving grace I am so grateful he was working today.

Hertz is trash. Save yourself the headache. Go 2 booths down to Enterprise. Its $200 more than Hertz on the deposit, but it is worth it. Hertz can't hold a candle to Enterprise. it's not even close. If you decide to take the risk with Hertz, you better have a back-up plan. Also, they don't take credit cards from Georgia's Own Credit Union.

Booked online, got there and was told I was on a do not rent list because someone else's name was on my account. This is not Hertz. I called Hertz and they couldn't help me. This is some sketchy company associated with Hertz. They gave me a card with a number. The guy at the counter was useless, the number I called said leave a voicemail. Got back the next day but still haven't heard from them. I was stuck for an hour before I gave up and got a Lyft. Never renting from here again. Your feedback link takes me to Facebook. Showed up to Budget to pick up the car I’d reserved and paid for online. Closed with a sign that said “go to Avis”. Went to Avis and the guy told me that they didn’t have a car and no one else would either. Terrible service. Checked with Enterprise…no car. Thrifty…nope. Asked Hertz and they said “yes. We can get you into a car. Fast, professional, super friendly service and in a brand new car in under 10 minutes. Thanks Hertz for not letting me walk. Avis, 8’ away you can get yourselves some good customer service training from Hertz. “You know how to take the reservation but just don’t know how to hold the reservation!”
