GameStop

So I'm 64 years old. Certainly don't know all the lastest computer gaming stuff. I am a private recently found out I could keep current practicing ILS approaches on Microsoft flight simulator. The people in the store were knowledgeable but the level of game I wanted they were not positive of system requirements. I purchased a Refurbished Xbox S. Basically they let me purchase it and try it at home. Turns out it didn't work and I need a computer specifically made for it. Refunded my money no problem.

GameStop as a business has steadily been on the decline, as digital gaming has become more prevalent, and there are options to purchase physical games at most of the big retailers (Walmart, target, Costco etc). However one thing that GameStop still provides that is not common is being a location where you can trade in games and devices. The return rate isn’t the greatest, which the highest percentage of return being for store credit so they can recycle the funds back into the business, but it is still a convenient way to get cash or some kind of item of value with old games. The staff was friendly, so I will give them credit for that. They need to widen their approach to retro gaming, as that will provide a necessary niche to keep their retail stores open.

Used to loved this place but I can't anymore since the nail salon moved in next door. The smell from the chemicals fills the GameStop to where you can't breathe in there. You can smell it from the parking lot, there is no real ventilation. I was getting so dizzy and light headed after just a few minutes in there. Stood in line to check out ant the clerk spent 10 minutes talking with the one guy while there were people behind him. My asthma started flaring and I felt like I was about to pass out. I just left my stuff. I had to get out of there and was having trouble walking. There's no way health codes aren't being violated in there right now. I don't know how the employees stay in there. Something needs to be done before someone gets really sick. Almost feel sorry for whoever owns that shopping center. Not sure the smell will ever come out of either store. Been over 30 minutes since I left and my head still doesn't feel right.

Grovetown GameStop has the most knowledgeable and friendly staff and are always there to answer any questions

Love this location! Lacey always helps me find the coolest items and help me stay up to date on my games to buy for my boyfriend. The rest of the staff are always friendly and make me feel welcomed!
