I have never experienced such poor customer service, especially in military uniform. From the moment we began speaking, Mrs. Sandra was rude and disrespectful. I was returning a vehicle that I had to take for an oil change on the second day of driving it—on my own time—which caused me to miss class due to a two-hour wait. Shortly after, the check engine light came on. When I returned the car, I was given a smaller replacement that also displayed a “maintenance required” warning. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience I had gone through or offering any kind of apology, Mrs. Sandra accused me of “just complaining until I get the car I want.” This was not only unprofessional, but dismissive of a very real issue. I expected better, and I sincerely hope this kind of behavior is addressed.

It's a SCAM. Budget rental at the Augusta airport rented us out a completely trashed car. Dents and scratches everywhere. Drove like crap and smelled like crap. We took photos even though we were told not to worry about it. Good thing we didn't listen. 3 MONTHS LATER!!! They call and say we are responsible for the damage to the car. Thank god we have photos with time stamps. TAKE PHOTOS NO MATTER WHAT.

Overall satisfied with the TYPE of car we received (Toyota Camry) but not too thrilled that originally we were supposed to get a Malibu - ok, whatever - I believe the lady that had been standing at the counter ended up getting it instead - but that is ok because the Camry gave us 50+ mpg, and for a 2k+ mile trip, we needed the mileage. We were told the tag was "marked" in the system for some reason which is why it got switched. Anyway - the guy at the counter was nice BUT was very low spoken - could barely hear him. He needs to learn how to speak up when he is talking to customers - he also was more worried about talking to the woman next to us at the counter instead of focusing on who was in front of him (us). When we got checked in, got our key and went to the car, we noticed it had not been cleaned. The outside was FILTHY, the inside was FILTHY (cigarette ashes all over the place, some white dried water droplets or something all over the door panels and the steering column, stains in the back seat that looked like you know what, and the previous driver's paperwork was still in the car). The tires were pretty low in tread, there were scuff marks all over the tops of the car around the doors and sides of the car. And to top it all off when we were headed back home from Baltimore, MD, the "change engine oil" indicator message came up on the dash, which it should not have had the car been serviced and cleaned prior to being driven again. We tried to swap the car out but the line was too long and we had to get on the road, so we drove it as it was. If Budget's prices weren't unbeatable, we would use another company but they have the best pricing. We did have to call the 800 number to extend our reservation for another hour and she told us it was cheaper to just extend it vs turn it in late. This phone call took a whole 45 minutes because she kept putting me on mute to talk to her friends, I can only assume. But it got extended and it cost us an entire day for one h...

Do not make a reservation with Avis or Budget at the Augusta Airport. They are owned by the same company and repeatedly make accept reservations, knowing they don't have cars. This is the second time in two months that I have been stuck trying to travel out of state to address an important need. Right now, the eight people in line will not get a car. One lady made her reservation 30 days ago. The employee will currently writing down names. Weeks ago the Avis employee had names on the front and back of a piece of paper. I highly recommend Enterprise or Thrifty. They have never had a problem honoring a reservation for the last five years. It can't be the employees fault.

I dont know whether they cant afford reliable cars or they just cant keep the maintenance up but this is actually aad to think that a customer is renting a car that is kept together with duct tape. Ive had to rent cars due to my job and just wow! The cars have been disgustingly dirty and sound like theyre barely holding up. I told one rep that the car she'd given me was the same car that I'd had before and was dangerous and she told me, "well, bring it back if you dont like it."
