Banfield Pet Hospital

I am new to the area and was looking for a vet who could provide the service my dog needed. It was fortunate that Cameron answered the phone when I called Banfield! His kindness, sincere enthusiasm for his job and his patience with my questions convinced me to make the appointment. I was not disappointed when I arrived for the appointment. The entire staff was topnotch. Cameron was even more congenial and authentic in person. He truly cares about his job and the animals. Dr. Atkinson was an amazing vet and treated my dog like his own. He answered all my questions and provided the services I needed. No one tried to upsell and it was clear that our pets are their concern, not money. Highly recommend!!!!

I don’t recommend this vet to anyone, especially if you have puppies who are naturally more hyper or playful. It seems that they don’t have common sense or know how to handle puppies with specific needs and I only say that because of my experience. I took my puppy, Hazel, to Banfield on May 13th and dropped her off around 10:40am. I told them my concerns and told them the shots I wanted her to get, one of the concerns being severe allergies and eye mucus etc with a dry nose. Not only was anything done to address these issues (because it’s still happening), but I called up there around 1:30PM because I hadn’t heard anything from them and she hadn’t even been seen yet! So because the vet had other patients, she’s been sitting in a cage or wherever for three hours and hadn’t even been examined yet. What’s the point of making an appointment weeks in advance if they have to wait that long? She said the doctor was going for lunch and that he’d get to her when he came back. So I said okay, and waited. Probably got the call around 3:30 or 4PM to go get her so I did, but stood in a line for probably 25 minutes with only 5 people in it because the lady up front was chatting up every single person there. I understand talking about the pet but this was things that doesn’t even matter. My main frustration is that my puppy is in heat, her first one , so I dropped her off with the diaper I have for her. She was brought out with the diaper not on her, bleeding everywhere, and because she was so excited, I had to pick her up and she bled all over me and literally on the credit card reader. I felt so bad but I’m also thinking “Why was she not brought out with her diaper on if you know that she’s in heavy heat?!?”. It’s just all very frustrating, because that clearly demonstrates that they don’t pay attention to the care of your animals the way they should. My fur buddy loves going to his vet. When we go he runs to the car waiting for me to open the door. He pulls the leash to the full 16ft of it when we are headed in. I’ve taken other pets to vets but they were never as happy going to the see them Banfield Pet Hospital is a friend to the animals. They are very helpful to me also. It’s worth the money that you spend on your furry family member.

Every single person who works at this location does a fantastic job with a great attitude. Receptionists, VA/VT's and veterinarians here are all kind, very hardworking people who have always been helpful to me the three years I've been coming here with my cats. Unlike with smaller vet clinics, I know first hand that Banfield has high standards of medicine and my pets are getting the best, most professional Healthcare here. Please keep in mind they are not an ER but rather an excellent preventative care hospital. I've always gotten the best care with Banfield. Special shoutout to the receptionists, I can tell they are always dealing with a lot but they take it in stride and always the most professionally. Thank you, Banfield Augusta staff!!

I was very disappointed! My dog and I arrived at 7:55 (appt st 8:00a) checked in, several minutes later, the associate announced Kobe was ready, well no one came out.she did this three times over a period of twenty minutes. I finally left a 8:35a. I never received any calls from Banfield on what was going on and how he was doing.I call several times 2, 3:30 and last time 4:15. I left @ 5pm, arrived and the associate announced, I was just getting ready to you. Now, it’s 5:30p. She said your bill is (this amount) Never talk to anyone what was done, founded, what he had, nothing! My dog was there all day. Animal that came behind him, wasn’t there. Why was he treated this way!
