The new way they have it set up to help people makes no common sense.

The lady that answers the phone is very rude not understanding at all you can tell that she is using her Authority against people she acts as if without the help of them thereβs no help at all and you have no choice but to take the disrespect well thank God there are other routes to take for help and God Bless Her !!

Non communicative with applicants. We applied in 2023 and we were turned down after months and months of waiting. While their 2023 form 990 showed they had used all of their donations they still had a 1.3 million fund left over. We applied again in April 2024 and we still have not heard if our weatherization needs will be able to be funded. We are not privy to their methods for determining approval but it seems that they only use one vendor to quote them applicant costs. We got three quotes in 2023 for a complete replacement HVAC and they ranged from 6k to 11k thats why we turned to Aiken/Barnwell weatherization. We believe that if they would get three estimates they would stretch their contributions farther!

Their policy has changed dramatically! To receive any type of assistance you must first call only on Thursdays starting at 8am and good damn luck getting anything but a busy signal. It took me 3 straight weeks to actually get answered, with appointment within another week.

Thank you so much for your hard work on my home. The weatherization crew did a fantastic job on sealing all the drafts and insulating the underside. The HVAC man found leaks in the unit and is taking action to get it fixed. Everyone has been super nice and a pleasure to meet. Again, thank you so much for your help
