Aiken County Recycling Drop Off #1

The guys that work here can be really rude and they close the gates and block the entrance well before closing time, turning people away. Why? Because they’ve “been there 12 hours”. That’s not our problem. You are getting paid to work twelve hours and you’re getting paid to keep the place open to the public until 7 pm. Don’t turn people away with a truckload of recycling and debris because you hate your job and want to go home.

Enjoy driving though dropping off my trash sometimes staff is cordial. sometimes there rude I guess it’s just however there day is going. 😌

They have 2 yard waste bins. Both full by 5pm they close at 7 pm why don't they put new bins out. Went next day at 11 a.m. 1 bin full the other one almost full. Seen men that work there tell people it was ok to put recycle things in house garbage bin and also yard trash like folding patio chairs. Why is that I wonder. I do like the fact you can back up above where yard trash bin is to make unloading much easier. I have hms in 2 counties so I use 2 landfills. This location the employees are never are helpful when standing next to a women struggling to pull limbs out of her truck not even for a moment. The Edgefield landfill on Sweetwater road are always helpful. Usually a stranger/customer can see a women struggling and are helpful.

Always shutting down the yard waste dumpsters early, it's supposed to be under new management but nothing has changed. Still grumpy men running the show, I ended up driving a total of 42 miles today to dump some pine straw in a dumpster....that's ridiculous.

Older white man fussed at us multiple times saying we wasn't putting in house hold garbage when we where because we had multiple bags was extremely rude just sitting there nit-picking
