My husband and I have been searching for a place like this for years and we finally found it! Amazing food, perfect atmosphere, and an even better staff. We sat at the bar, where I ordered the smoked sausage queso dip and my husband had the pulled pork pimento cheese patty melt. Everything was divine. (The Big Dill is a must if you’re a fellow pickle lover). The flavors were incredible, perfectly seasoned without being overly salty (which is rare), and every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The meat truly melts in your mouth. Our bartender Ryan was phenomenal. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the menu. We even chatted about the future of this end of Broad Street, and I have to say we’re so excited and this end of downtown Augusta has needed a place like this to kick off its revitalization. I couldn’t recommend this place more. We’ll absolutely be coming back and bringing friends and family along. Huge congratulations to the owner, you nailed it. I wish I could give more than five stars, because this place deserves every one of them. Knock out job. Please support this business!!!

As a foodie this place is a 10/5. 1st time going and the food was fantastic. I ordered the 2/2 plate, ribs and sausage with collard greens and Mac n cheese. My son ordered the 3/2 plate, brisket, pulled pork and ribs with coleslaw and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese isn’t baked but they surely obliged us by putting it in the salamander. Juliette was a fantastic waitress. We asked her a few things she didn’t know but came back with answers. Eric brought the food, he’s the GM, a transplant from NY and a great listener. Great food and atmosphere. 100% recommend Follow them on IG

This place is awesome! It has the best BBQ in Augusta! If you like Fox Brothers in Atlanta, this is the place for you. The pulled pork melts in your mouth as well as the brisket. But you must try the chicken nuggets with the “Honey Holler” sauce! Also, the Big Dill martini is a riff on the dirty martini that you should also try if you like dill pickles!

Wow! I ate here for the first time today and it instantly became my new favorite place!! I love the atmosphere in here and the service is top notch! We were blessed to have Sophia take care of us today. Not only is she cute as a button and as sweet as honey, but the lady knows her job. She let us try all the BBQ sauces, recommended the best dishes and kept our drinks full. She was on point during a busy lunch rush and all with a smile on her face. Thank you Sophia! The food here is phenomenal! I started out with the fried ribs, which was something new to me but dang it’s good!! For lunch it was the brisket with green beans and Mac and cheese. I just don’t have the words. I just left and already can’t wait to go back.

The service and atmosphere at 5th & Fire are really nice. We had several employees ask if we needed anything and how our service was. The restaurant is newly renovated, clean, and inviting. However, I have to be honest, the food was mediocre. The pulled pork was a little dry, the coleslaw presented well but lacked seasoning, the cornbread muffins were dry and tasteless as well. The best thing in my opinion were the BBQ sauces, with the Alabama White sauce being top tier. The collard greens were also very good. I would go again and try other food options, however it's hard to make a new first impression. Jim N' Nicks honestly has the upper hand in terms of BBQ restaurants with big flavors. I could not help but compare the two restaurants.
